June Scripture Reading

Josh Samples

PASTOR BERNIE SAMPLES

For this month I want to share some things I’ve learned about Prayer over the years.

June 1) Luke 18:1-8 One definition of prayer is:” A believer joining forces with God the Father - Fellowshipping with Him - And carrying out His will upon the earth.

June 2) 1 John 5:14-15 God’s Word is God will. Prayer should be God looking down to earth and seeing a mirror reflecting His Word back up at Him.

June 3) Matthew 18:18-20 As born again believers we have spiritual authority in Jesus Name to change things in our realm of influence.

June 4) Luke 10:17-20 Although we have authority over demons and evil spirits, we must always be thankful for our eternal salvation through Jesus Christ!

June 5) 2 Corinthians 5:7 Faith doesn’t deny things, faith changes things! Always speak and agree with God’s Word concerning things that affect your life and loved ones.

June 6) Mark 16:15-20 Not only are we called to pray but to follow through with action in carrying out God’s plan in our realm of influence.

June 7) Mark 11:22-24 Always be conscious that God is the one we look to when we pray! And watch what we say during the day because we will have what we say.

June 8) Isaiah 55:6-11 Do your best to live right every day. Remember that when you pray The Word you’re praying the answer!

June 9) John 16:23-24 He is God to the world but He is Father to us! One key to answered prayer is pray to The Father in The Name of Jesus!

June 10) Acts 4:29-31 I like to call this, “The Believer’s Prayer”! We need boldness to carry out The Great Commission!

June 11) Philippians 1:9-11 Study and learn the heart of Jesus in this prayer for your life. Pray it in first person for yourself. Instead of praying, “your” and “you”, pray “my” and “me”.

June 12) 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful and thankful when you pray. Because you know you are talking to Jesus and He’s hearing and answering!

June 13) 1 Timothy 4:1-5 Praying before you eat is more than a good thing to do, it releases the anointing of God to protect you if by chance there’s some wrong with the food!

June 14) Philippians 4:6-7 Worry is fear about what you’re facing in life. Fear is the opposite of faith. So always have scripture for what you’re praying about and refuse to worry but instead stay in faith according to God’s Word.

June 15) 1 Peter 4:7-8 Always remember we are living in the last of the last days. Continually monitor your love walk. If you don’t treat people that are created in the image of God with respect, your prayers will be hindered.

June 16) Mark 11:25-26 If you want The Father’s blessing on your prayers, be quick to forgive and show mercy to those that wrote you.

June 17) Matthew 5:43-48 Notice V48, the word perfect here means mature. This is God’s description of a mature believer. We pray blessings not judgment on those that wrong us.

June 18) James 5:13-16 Wow! These few verses are loaded with wisdom from the Holy Ghost about prayer. Meditate on them and I will teach on them the next few days.

June 19) James 5:13 If you’re going through a hard time the first one that needs to pray for you, IS YOU! Go over all the things I’ve been teaching this month and develop faith in your faith for praying. And get in the habit of singing Christian Songs of joy and victory!

June 20) James 5:14-15 After you’ve prayed for yourself concerning healing, if you still need help, obey these verses. But make sure the elders you go to believe in healing and know how to pray the prayer of faith.

June 21) James 5:16 2 Corinthians 5:21 says all born again believers are righteous because of their new nature. So we can all have Holy Ghost power when we pray get supernatural results!

June 22) 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 We are believing for a major move of God in our nation and around the world! At the top of your prayer list should be for God’s Word to have free course in our churches, government, media, schools, homes and everywhere else that people are.

June 23) Isaiah 55:11; Jeremiah 1:12; Mark 16:20. God’s guarantee for answered prayer!

June 24) 1 Timothy 2:1-5 Prayer for all those that have authority and control concerning our lives. Notice V4-5, God wants all people to know the truth about Jesus as Savior of the world so they can be saved! The result is V2 Quiet and peaceable life in our nation.

June 25) John 15:7-8 Two absolutes for a fruitful productive prayer life! 1) Abide in Jesus (live clean and obedient). 2) His word abide (have first place) in all your decisions.

June 26) Colossians 1:9-14 A great Holy Spirit inspired prayer to pray frequently over yourself and fellow believers. If you focus on the words of this prayer and pray them from your heart, you will begin to see yourself grow spiritually.

June 27) Ephesians 6:18-19; Colossians 4:2-3 Always pray for preachers to have open doors to people that are spiritually hungry. And for the preachers to be bold enough to speak the truth of God’s Word in love!

June 28) Ephesians 1:16-23 and 2:6 go together. You need to meditate on this prayer and see yourself seated with Christ in heavenly places far above everything that satan wants to use against you.

June 29) John 17:1-13 Jesus prayed this prayer for His disciples with Him 2000 years ago and included us today in it. Read through these verses slowly and let them speak to your heart today.

June 30) John 17:14-26 Carefully read V20-26. He says when Christians quit fighting each other and love like Jesus loves, the world will believe and know that Jesus was sent by God and is The Savior of the world!
